Preparation

  • Start by rimming the glass with salt. Rub a lime wedge around the rim and dip into a small plate filled with salt.
  • In a cocktail shaker, pour in 2 ounces of blood orange juice, followed by 1 ounce each of tequila and triple sec, and 1 ounce of lime juice.
  • Add a handful of ice to the shaker, secure the lid, and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
  • Take your prepared glass filled with ice and strain the margarita mixture into the glass.
  • Garnish with a slice of blood orange.
