Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 Tbsp. activated charcoal powder
  • 1 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 1/4 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Cream softened butter with white and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the egg, activated charcoal, vanilla extract, milk, and kosher salt. Mix until well combined.
  • Sprinkle in the baking soda and gradually add the flour, mixing gently with a spatula until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips evenly into the dough.
  • Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Scoop dough onto the baking sheet, spacing each cookie about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 12-13 minutes, until edges are set but centers are soft. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
