Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups Bisquick mix This mix includes all the essential dry ingredients.
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar, packed Use packed to ensure proper sweetness.
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter, softened Bring to room temperature before use.
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Add-ins

  • 1 cup chocolate chips Use your favorite type of chocolate chips.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the Bisquick mix, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips gently until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Baking

  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers might look a bit underbaked, but they will continue to set as they cool.
  • Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a fun twist, try adding chopped nuts, dried fruits, or a sprinkle of sea salt before baking. Chilling the dough for at least 30 minutes can help achieve thicker, chewier cookies.
