Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1 cup milk, warmed Do not scald
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large orange zest

Filling Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened For spreading

Glaze Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest For glaze

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk and yeast. Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes, or until it becomes frothy.
  • Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, salt, and orange zest to the yeast mixture. Stir to combine.
  • Gradually add the flour, one cup at a time, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, until it is smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
  • Punch down the risen dough and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.

Filling and Shaping

  • Spread the softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture evenly across the top.
  • Roll the dough tightly, starting from one long side, to form a log. Slice the log into 12 equal rolls.
  • Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover them, and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown.

Glazing

  • While the rolls bake, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, orange juice, and orange zest in a small bowl.
  • Once the rolls are out of the oven, drizzle the glaze over them while they are still warm. Serve and enjoy!
