For the Cake

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cups cocoa powder Sifted to prevent lumps
  • 1 cups sugar
  • 0.5 cups butter, softened Room temperature
  • 2 pieces eggs Room temperature
  • 1 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Mousse

  • 2 cups heavy cream Whipped until soft peaks form
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened Room temperature
  • 1 cups powdered sugar
  • 0.5 cups chocolate chips For garnishing

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the cake pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, and sugar until blended.
  • Add softened butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  • Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool the cake completely on a wire rack.

Mousse Preparation

  • Whip the heavy cream in a separate bowl until soft peaks form.
  • In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined.

Assembly

  • Spread the mousse evenly over the cooled cake surface.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for several hours or overnight for best results.
  • Before serving, sprinkle chocolate chips on top for garnish.
