  • 12 oz cheese-filled tortellini Fresh or frozen.
  • 2 cups marinara sauce Rich in herbs and spices.
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Melts beautifully and adds stretch.
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning Adds authenticity and depth.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Enhances the cheesy goodness.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil Used for sautéing.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Infuses the dish with aroma.
  • 1 medium onion, chopped Adds sweetness and complexity.

Preparation and Cooking

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Spray a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil. Toss in the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic and ground beef to the skillet. Cook, stirring frequently, until browned, approximately 6-8 minutes.
  • Stir in the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Cook the tortellini according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked tortellini with the beef mixture, ensuring every piece is well-coated.
  • Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
