Ingredients
  

For the Beef Marinade

  • 1 pound beef (flank steak or sirloin), thinly sliced Use high-quality cuts for best results.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Adjust to taste for lower sodium option.
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch For marinade consistency.
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for cooking) Can substitute with olive oil.

For the Stir Fry

  • 1 medium onion, sliced Any variety can be used.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adds flavor.
  • 1 piece ginger, peeled and grated Fresh ginger enhances the taste.
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 3 units green onions, chopped Use for garnish.
  • to taste sesame seeds (for garnish) Adds a nice crunch.
  • cooked rice or noodles (for serving)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Marinate the beef in a bowl by combining beef slices with soy sauce and cornstarch, ensuring the beef is evenly coated. Let sit for about 10 minutes while preparing the vegetables.

Cooking

  • Heat one tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Add sliced onion, garlic, and grated ginger, stir-frying for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add bell pepper, broccoli, snap peas, and carrots. Continue stir-frying for another 4-5 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  • Return the beef to the pan, mixing thoroughly with the vegetables. Cook everything together for another minute to heat through.
  • Sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving over cooked rice or noodles.

Notes

You can customize the vegetables based on your preferences. Keep in mind to slice beef thinly against the grain for tenderness.
