Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef 454 g
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Sausage Mixture

  • In a large bowl, mix the ground beef with the spices—smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (optional). Add the egg and breadcrumbs to help bind everything together. Stir gently until all the ingredients are evenly combined, but avoid overmixing.

Step 2: Shape the Sausages

  • Divide the mixture into portions and roll each one into a sausage shape, ensuring they’re even in size. For a more professional look, you can use a sausage stuffer or mold.

Step 3: Cook the Sausages

  • You can cook the sausages in different ways:
  • Pan-Frying: Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook sausages for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Grilling: Preheat your grill to medium-high and cook the sausages for 6-8 minutes, turning them frequently.
  • Baking: Place sausages on a baking sheet and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Step 4: Serve and Enjoy

  • Let the sausages rest for a couple of minutes before serving. This will help them retain their juices and flavor.
