Beef broccoli is a quick and easy stir-fry with tender beef and crisp broccoli in a savory sauce. Perfect for busy nights, it's flavorful, nutritious, and customizable.
Slice the beef thinly against the grain, which helps make it tender. Cut the broccoli into florets, ensuring they’re all roughly the same size for even cooking.
Make the Stir-Fry Sauce
In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, garlic, ginger, and beef broth. If you want a thicker sauce, mix in the cornstarch with a bit of water and stir until smooth.
Cook the Beef
Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the sliced beef. Stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until it’s browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
Stir-Fry the Broccoli
In the same skillet, add a little more sesame oil if needed. Toss in the broccoli and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes or until it’s bright green and slightly tender but still crisp.
Combine and Cook Together
Return the beef to the skillet with the broccoli. Pour the stir-fry sauce over everything and toss to coat. Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
Serve and Enjoy
Once your beef and broccoli are perfectly coated in the savory sauce, it’s ready to serve. Enjoy it hot over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal!
