Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 12 ounces rotini pasta
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the rotini pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes until al dente. Drain and toss with olive oil.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook for 6 to 8 minutes until browned, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • Add the minced garlic to the browned beef and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant.

Making the Sauce

  • Reduce heat to low and add heavy cream to the skillet. Gradually stir in the grated parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Season the sauce with dried Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.

Combining

  • Gently fold the cooked rotini into the skillet with the beef and sauce, tossing until the pasta is well coated. Add a splash of pasta cooking water if the sauce is too thick.
  • Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top before serving.
