Warm and full of flavor, this beef and broccoli sauce perfectly coats tender beef and fresh broccoli. It’s easy to make and adds a delicious savory-sweet balance to your meal.
chili flakes or black pepperoptional, for a hint of spice
Instructions
In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and beef broth until smooth.
Heat sesame oil in a skillet or wok over medium heat to release a nutty aroma.
Pour the sauce mixture into the pan and bring it to a gentle simmer, allowing flavors to meld.
Make a slurry by mixing cornstarch with a small amount of cold water. Slowly stir the slurry into the simmering sauce. Stir until the sauce thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.
Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning. Add water or broth if too salty, or more brown sugar if sweeter flavor is desired.
Notes
Leftover sauce can be refrigerated for up to 5 days. Reheat gently, adding a splash of broth if it thickens too much.
