Pasta and Cheese

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded leftover rotisserie chicken works well
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce choose your preferred flavor
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Topping

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted

Preparation

  • Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, shredded chicken, BBQ sauce, 3 cups of cheddar cheese, milk, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Transfer the macaroni mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Spread it evenly for consistent baking.
  • In a small bowl, melt the butter. Combine the breadcrumbs with the melted butter, then sprinkle the mixture over the macaroni.
  • Top the dish with the remaining cup of cheddar cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes
