Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
In a medium bowl, sift or whisk together the flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.
In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas. Add melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well blended.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
Fold in the chopped walnuts, then pour the batter into the greased loaf pan.
Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Allow the bread to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
