Preparation

  • Peel the ripe bananas and break them into smaller pieces.
  • If using spinach or kale, wash and dry the greens thoroughly.
  • In a blender, combine the banana pieces, matcha powder, almond milk, honey or maple syrup (if using), and vanilla extract.
  • Add the spinach or kale to the blender for a nutritional boost.
  • Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides if necessary.
  • If you prefer a colder smoothie, add ice cubes and blend again until well combined.
  • Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness with more honey or maple syrup if desired.
  • Pour the smoothie into your favorite glass or bowl and enjoy.

Notes
