  • 1 pinch salt Enhances flavors.

  • sliced bananas Fresh bananas for topping.
  • whipped cream Use for an indulgent touch.
  • crushed graham crackers Adds that pie-like texture.
  • nuts Walnuts or almonds work well.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, milk, mashed banana, Greek yogurt, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Stir the mixture until well combined and all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  • Divide the oat mixture into airtight containers or jars for easy storage.
  • Seal the containers and place them in the refrigerator.
  • Let the oats soak overnight or for at least six hours.

Serving

  • In the morning, give the oats a good stir, and add a splash of milk if they seem too thick.
  • Top with sliced bananas, whipped cream, crushed graham crackers, or nuts as desired before serving.

Notes

These oats can be stored in the fridge for up to five days in airtight containers. For variety, mix in chia seeds, flaxseeds, or use different milk alternatives. Can be warmed in the microwave if desired.
