melted butter or vegetable oil

spooned and leveled

plus 2 tablespoons for topping
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your loaf pan.
In a large mixing bowl, combine mashed bananas, sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, sea salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, being careful not to overmix. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle the remaining walnuts on top.
Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick inserted into the center.
Let the loaf cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
