Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Wash and peel the sweet potatoes. Slice them into rounds about ¼ inch thick for even cooking.
  • In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato slices with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.

Cooking

  • Arrange the sweet potato slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet without overlapping.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy around the edges.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Optional: sprinkle fresh herbs on top.

Notes

For a crispier texture, soak the sweet potato slices in cold water for at least 30 minutes before baking. Store baked slices in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days or freeze for up to three months.
