  • 4 pieces hot dogs Use high-quality hot dogs for best flavor.
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese.
  • 1 cup chili Can be homemade or canned.
  • 4 pieces hot dog buns Toast them for added flavor.
  • 1 small onion, diced Optional for topping.
  • to taste mustard Optional for serving.

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place the hot dogs in the air fryer basket and cook for about 5-7 minutes until heated through.
  • If using canned chili, heat it on the stovetop or in the microwave; if making homemade, prepare it now.
  • Add shredded cheddar cheese on top of each hot dog as they near the end of cooking for perfect melting.
  • Toast the hot dog buns in the air fryer for a couple of minutes.
  • Assemble the hot dogs by placing each in a toasted bun and spooning warm chili over the top.
  • Add diced onions and a drizzle of mustard if desired, then serve hot.
