  • 1 cup milk or milk alternative Adjust based on desired consistency.
  • 1 medium apple, diced Choose your favorite apple variety.
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds Optional, for added texture and nutrition.
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey Optional, for added sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon For the classic flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances flavor.
  • a pinch salt To taste.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place the rolled oats in a bowl or jar.
  • Add chia seeds, ground cinnamon, and salt; mix well.
  • Pour in the milk and vanilla extract; stir until combined.
  • Gently fold in the diced apple to distribute evenly.
  • If desired, drizzle in maple syrup or honey and mix again.
  • Cover with a lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.

Serving

  • In the morning, stir the oats before serving. Add more milk if a thinner consistency is preferred.
  • Serve chilled, topping with additional diced apples, cinnamon, nuts, or yogurt if desired.
