Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup softened butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup milk

Fruits

  • 2 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled and chopped

Topping

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar for topping
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for topping

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Coat a 9×5 loaf pan with butter. Line the pan with parchment paper and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  • In a stand mixer, cream together the light brown sugar, granulated sugar, and softened butter until crumbly.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined. Gradually pour in the milk and continue mixing until smooth.
  • Slowly fold the flour mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring gently to avoid overmixing.
  • Carefully stir in the chopped apples.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  • In a small bowl, mix the 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar with the teaspoon of ground cinnamon, then sprinkle over the batter.

Baking

  • Bake for 50-55 minutes, testing for doneness with a toothpick.
  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 15-20 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
  • Once cooled, slice the Apple Cinnamon Bread and serve.

Notes
