For the Casserole

  • 4 cups Diced Apples (Granny Smith or Fuji recommended)
  • 1 can Refrigerated Biscuit Dough (gluten-free option available)
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar Adjust based on the sweetness of apples
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter (or coconut oil for dairy-free)
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar Light or dark according to preference
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (optional)
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Pecans (optional, omit for nut-free version)
  • 2 tablespoons Additional Brown Sugar Customize to taste
  • 1/4 cup Caramel Sauce (optional for drizzling)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or melted butter.
  • Dice the apples into small, bite-sized pieces.
  • In a large bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon.
  • Toss the diced apples in the sugar mixture until well-coated.
  • Cut each biscuit into quarters and add them to a separate bowl.
  • Combine the quartered biscuit dough and spiced apple mixture, mixing until evenly coated.
  • Melt the butter (or coconut oil) and pour it over the mixture, then add pecans and vanilla extract.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes until golden brown.
  • Drizzle caramel sauce over the casserole just before serving.
  • Allow to cool slightly before enjoying warm.

Notes
