Ingredients
  

Apple Brownies Batter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped apples peeled and diced

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8x8 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • In another bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla extract, then mix well.
  • Combine the wet and dry ingredients. Fold in the chopped apples.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cool before slicing into squares. Serve warm or at room temperature.
