Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 3 large egg whites (room temperature) Ensure they are at room temperature for best results.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract

Toppings

  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for dusting) For finishing touch.
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds (optional) For added crunch.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, granulated sugar, and salt.
  • Mix in both the vanilla extract and almond extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the egg whites with a mixer until soft peaks form.
  • Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the dry mixture until just blended.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
  • If desired, sprinkle sliced almonds on top of each cookie.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  • Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
