Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pieces tuna steaks, about 6 ounces each Choose high-quality tuna steaks.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For marinating.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 piece juice of 1 lemon Freshly squeezed.
  • Fresh herbs, like parsley or cilantro, for garnish (optional) For garnishing.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Start by patting the tuna steaks dry with a paper towel.
  • In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, salt, soy sauce, and lemon juice.
  • Coat each tuna steak with the marinade evenly on both sides and allow them to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C).

Cooking

  • Place the marinated tuna steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, checking for doneness.
  • Remove the tuna steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for a couple of minutes.

Serving

  • Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and slice the tuna steaks before serving.

Notes

For best results, use fresh tuna and do not skip the marinating step. Store leftover tuna in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
