  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adds flavor to the wedges.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Gives a smoky flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Enhances the flavor.
  • ½ teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper For seasoning.

Preparation

  • Wash and peel the sweet potatoes. Cut them into wedges, aiming for uniform size to ensure even cooking.
  • In a large bowl, combine the sweet potato wedges with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss everything together until the wedges are well-coated in the seasoning.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Place the sweet potato wedges in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding the basket.
  • Cook the wedges for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  • Once done, check for doneness; the wedges should be golden brown on the outside and tender on the inside. If they need more time, pop them back in for a few additional minutes.

Serving

  • Remove the wedges from the air fryer and serve them hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

For extra crunch, you can soak the cut wedges in cold water for about 30 minutes before seasoning. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-5 days, or freeze them for longer storage.
