  • 2 large sweet potatoes Washed and peeled
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For coating the wedges
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper Optional, for heat
  • to taste fresh parsley or cilantro For garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Wash and peel the sweet potatoes, then cut them into wedges about ½ inch thick.
  • In a large bowl, combine sweet potato wedges with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne if using. Toss until evenly coated.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Cooking

  • Arrange the seasoned sweet potato wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overlap.
  • Cook for about 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking. Cook until golden brown and crispy.
  • Once done, remove wedges from the air fryer and garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro if desired.

Notes

For extra crunch, soak the wedges in cold water for 30 minutes before seasoning. Customize seasonings for different flavors, such as cumin or cinnamon.
