Preparation

  • Wash the sweet potatoes thoroughly. Peel if preferred but leaving the skin on adds extra nutrients.
  • Slice sweet potatoes thinly, about 1/8-inch thick, using a sharp knife or mandoline slicer.
  • Place sweet potato slices in a large bowl. Drizzle olive oil over, sprinkle salt, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss until coated.
  • Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes.

Cooking

  • Arrange sweet potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook the chips for 15-20 minutes. Shake the basket halfway through.
  • Watch chips towards the end to prevent burning. Remove when golden brown and crispy.
  • Let chips cool on a wire rack to maintain their crunchiness.
