  • 4 medium-sized potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold are great choices)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Can substitute with other oils with a high smoking point.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • optional fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme for garnish

Preparation

  • Start by washing and scrubbing the potatoes thoroughly. Peel them if desired, but the skin adds flavor and texture.
  • Slice the potatoes evenly into rounds, about 1/4-inch thick.
  • Place the sliced potatoes in a large bowl. Drizzle the olive oil over them and add garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Toss everything together until the potatoes are well-coated with the oil and spices.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.

Cooking

  • Arrange the potato slices in the fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding.
  • Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking. Check for the desired level of crispness.
  • Once done, remove the slices and let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store leftover slices in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for best results.
