Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground sausage (your choice of flavor)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional for a firmer texture)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional for freshness)

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground sausage with garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes, if using.
  • Mix the ingredients well until everything is evenly distributed.
  • If you prefer a firmer patty, mix in the breadcrumbs and parsley.
  • Shape the mixture into small patties, about 2 to 3 inches in diameter.

Cooking

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Arrange the patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not touch.
  • Cook the patties for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking process.
  • Remove the patties once they're golden brown and have reached an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C). Let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, cook in batches to avoid overcrowding the air fryer. You can store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days or freeze them for up to 3 months.
