  • 4 large potatoes Russet or other varieties can be used.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Can reduce oil for lighter chips.

  • optional seasonings (e.g., paprika, garlic powder, onion powder) Customize to your taste.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Wash the potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt.
  • Slice the potatoes thinly, about 1/8 inch thick.
  • Soak the potato slices in cold water for at least 30 minutes.
  • Drain and pat the potato slices dry with a towel.

Cooking

  • In a mixing bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil to coat evenly.
  • Season with salt and additional spices if using.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C).
  • Arrange the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for approximately 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • Watch closely in the last few minutes to prevent overcooking.
  • Once golden brown and crisp, transfer the chips to a plate.
  • Season with more salt if desired and allow to cool slightly.
