Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 270°F (130°C) for gentle cooking.
  • Place a small, oven-safe ramekin or cup inside the air fryer basket.
  • Lightly spray the inside of the ramekin with cooking spray, if desired.
  • Crack one egg into the ramekin, ensuring the yolk stays intact.
  • Pour about one tablespoon of water into the ramekin around the egg.
  • Season the egg with a pinch of salt and pepper, if desired.

Cooking

  • Once preheated, carefully place the basket into the fryer.
  • Cook the egg for about 8 to 10 minutes, checking at the 8-minute mark.
  • When done, carefully remove the ramekin from the fryer—be cautious as it will be hot.
  • Let it cool slightly before using a spoon to gently slide the poached egg out.
  • Serve immediately or keep warm until ready to plate.

Notes

Store leftover poached eggs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. Reheat in warm water or the air fryer at a low temperature.
