Ingredients
  

For the chicken

  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Try to use breasts of even thickness for even cooking.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole-wheat)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs Whisk until well blended.

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prepare your breading station: in one bowl, whisk the eggs, and in another bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

Breading the Chicken

  • Dip each chicken breast into the eggs, allowing excess to drip off, then coat thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Lightly spray the coated chicken with cooking spray or olive oil.

Cooking

  • Place the chicken breasts in a single layer in the air fryer basket without touching each other.
  • Cook for about 12 minutes, flipping halfway, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and coating is golden brown.
  • Remove from the air fryer and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, use chicken breasts of uniform thickness. You can also experiment with different cheeses and add herbs for extra flavor.
