Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 2 large chicken breasts Pounded to an even thickness for even cooking
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour For dredging
  • 2 large eggs Whisked for coating
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs For coating
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Freshly grated preferred
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt To season the chicken
  • 1 can cooking spray For preventing sticking

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Set up a breading station: Place the flour in one shallow dish, whisk the eggs in a second dish, and combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and salt in a third dish.
  • Coat each chicken breast first in flour, shaking off excess, then dip it in the whisked eggs, and finally coat it evenly with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

Cooking

  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  • Place the coated chicken breasts in the basket, ensuring they do not overlap.
  • Cook the chicken for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the coating is golden and crispy.
  • Once done, remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness before breading. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket, cooking in batches if necessary.
