  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey Choose your preferred meat.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Use plain or seasoned breadcrumbs.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese For extra flavor.
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley Fresh parsley works best.
  • 1 large egg Helps bind the meatballs.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adds flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder For seasoning.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Serving (Optional)

  • 1 cup marinara sauce Warm it up for serving.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all of your ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  • Combine the ground beef or turkey with breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, egg, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
  • Shape the mixture into balls about 1 inch in diameter.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Place the formed meatballs in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Cook the meatballs for 10-12 minutes, ensuring they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • If using marinara sauce, warm it up while the meatballs are cooking.

Serving

  • Serve the meatballs drizzled with warm marinara sauce and garnished with extra Parmesan cheese and parsley.
  • Alternatively, serve them with spaghetti or in a toasted sub roll.
  • They can also be served as appetizers, skewered with toothpicks.
