A quick and healthy recipe for making a classic grilled cheese sandwich using an air fryer for the perfect crispy exterior and gooey cheese inside.

Main ingredients

  • 2 slices slices of bread (your choice) Choose your favorite type of bread.
  • 2 slices slices of cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite) Feel free to mix different cheeses for added flavor.
  • to taste Butter or cooking spray Butter adds flavor while cooking spray is a lighter option.

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (188°C).
  • Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Use cooking spray for a lighter option if preferred.

Cooking

  • Place one slice of bread in the air fryer basket, butter-side down.
  • Layer your cheese on top of the slice that is butter-side down.
  • Cover with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  • Insert the basket back into the air fryer and set the timer for 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Once done, remove the grilled cheese carefully using tongs or a spatula.
  • Allow the sandwich to cool for a minute, then slice and serve.
