Air Fryer Fried Pickles

Ingredients
  

Pickles

  • 1 jar jar of dill pickles (preferably spears or slices) Dill pickles are traditional but feel free to use other varieties.

Breading Station

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs Whisked for coating.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Panko works great for extra crunch.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season as desired.

Cooking

  • 1 can Non-stick cooking spray For spraying the air fryer.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Start by draining the dill pickles and patting them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  • Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: flour in the first bowl, whisked eggs in the second bowl, and a mixture of breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in the third bowl.
  • Take each pickle, coat it in the flour, dip it into the beaten eggs, and then press it into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring it’s fully covered.
  • Repeat this process until all pickles are breaded.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Arrange the breaded pickles in a single layer inside the basket, ensuring they are not crowded.
  • Spray the tops of the pickles lightly with cooking spray.
  • Cook for about 10-12 minutes, flipping the pickles halfway through, until they are crispy and golden.
  • Remove them from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For serving, pair with dips such as ranch dressing, spicy mayo, or mustard. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the air fryer for best results.
