Steak Ingredients

  • 2 pieces filet mignon steaks (about 1.5 inches thick) Choose high-quality steaks for better flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For brushing the steaks.
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder Enhances the flavor of the steak.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Adds depth to the seasoning.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Essential for seasoning.
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary (or ½ teaspoon dried) Adds herbal flavor to the steak.
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme (or ½ teaspoon dried) Optional: Can be added for extra flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Pat the filet mignon steaks dry with paper towels to help create a nice sear.
  • Brush both sides of the steaks with olive oil.
  • In a small bowl, mix the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and rosemary. If using thyme, add that too.
  • Rub the spice mixture evenly onto both sides of the steaks.

Cooking

  • Once the air fryer is ready, place the seasoned steaks in the basket, ensuring they do not overlap.
  • Cook the steaks for about 10-12 minutes for medium-rare, flipping halfway through.
  • Remove the steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes
