Main Ingredients

  • 2 pounds potatoes (Yukon Gold or russet) Wash thoroughly and peel if desired.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • to taste Fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme) Optional for garnish.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Wash the potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt. Peel them if desired, or leave the skin on for added texture.
  • Cut the potatoes into even-sized cubes, about 1-inch in diameter.
  • Place the diced potatoes in a large bowl and drizzle olive oil over them.
  • Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper on top, then toss until evenly coated.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Cooking

  • Add the seasoned potato cubes to the air fryer basket in a single layer, cooking in batches if necessary.
  • Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • Check for doneness by piercing a cube with a fork—it should be golden and crispy outside, tender inside.
  • Once cooked, remove from the air fryer and serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket for optimal crispiness. For extra flavor, allow potatoes to marinate with spices for 30 minutes before cooking.
