Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened Should be at room temperature.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar Adds moisture and richness.
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar For sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For flavor.
  • 1 large egg Binds the ingredients together.

Mix-Ins

  • 1 cup chocolate chips Can add more if desired.

Preparation

  • Mix the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl: combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until well blended.
  • Cream the softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in another bowl until smooth and fluffy.
  • Beat in the vanilla extract and egg into the creamed mixture until well combined.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips carefully.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • Scoop tablespoon portions of the cookie dough, roll into balls, and place them on a piece of parchment paper. Ensure they are spaced apart.
  • Cook the cookies in the air fryer for 8-10 minutes until the edges are golden brown, keeping an eye on them.
  • Allow the cookies to cool in the air fryer for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

Store leftover cookies in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for up to three months. They can also be reheated in the air fryer.
