  • 2 pounds chicken wings split into flats and drumettes, tips removed if desired
  • 1 tablespoon aluminum-free baking powder for crispiness
  • 1 teaspoon kosher or sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika or regular paprika
  • Olive oil or avocado oil spray for coating the basket

Optional for Serving

  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
  • Honey garlic sauce
  • Blue cheese or ranch dressing
  • Celery & carrot sticks

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels to ensure crispiness.
  • Place wings in a large mixing bowl, avoiding crowding.
  • In a small bowl, mix baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder (if using), and smoked paprika.
  • Sprinkle the seasoning over the wings and toss to coat evenly.

Cooking

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 2-3 minutes.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil or avocado oil spray.
  • Lay the seasoned wings in a single layer in the basket.
  • Cook wings at 400°F (200°C) for 10 minutes. Flip or shake halfway through.
  • Continue cooking for another 8-10 minutes until wings are golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • For extra crispiness, add 2-3 minutes more if desired.

Serving

  • Transfer wings to a clean bowl and toss with your favorite sauce, or serve plain.
  • Serve with dipping sauces, celery, and carrot sticks.

Notes

Make sure to thoroughly dry the wings before seasoning for maximum crispiness. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the air fryer to restore crispness.
