  • 4 pieces chicken legs (thigh and drumstick)

For the Seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Preparation

  • Begin by patting the chicken legs dry with paper towels to help the skin crisp up in the air fryer.
  • In a large bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  • Add the chicken legs to the bowl and toss them to coat evenly with the seasoning mixture.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Place the seasoned chicken legs in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t touch each other.
  • Cook the chicken legs for 20-25 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time for even browning.
  • Once cooked, remove the chicken legs from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
