For the Chips

  • 4 large carrots Washed and peeled
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For coating the carrot slices
  • 1 teaspoon salt To taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika For flavor
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Optional seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper To taste
  • Fresh herbs or additional spices Optional, to taste

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Wash and peel the carrots thoroughly.
  • Slice the carrots into thin rounds, about 1/8 inch thick.
  • In a large bowl, toss the carrot slices with olive oil until evenly coated.
  • Add salt, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper to the bowl, mixing well to ensure all slices are seasoned.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place the seasoned carrot slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding.
  • Cook the carrot chips for 15 to 20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • Check for doneness; they should be crispy and slightly golden brown.
  • If needed, cook for a few more minutes to achieve the desired crunchiness.
  • Once done, remove the chips and cool them on a wire rack.

Notes

For the best results, ensure carrot slices are cut uniformly. You can also experiment with different spices, such as chili powder for heat, or nutritional yeast for a cheesy flavor without cheese.
