Ingredients
  

For the Burger Patties

  • 1 lb ground beef 80% lean is recommended for juiciness.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese Optional, to be added at the end of cooking.

For Assembly

  • 4 Burger buns To be toasted in the air fryer.
  • 1 cup favorite toppings Lettuce, tomato, onion, etc.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Mix gently until just combined to avoid tough patties.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 portions and shape into patties about ¾ inch thick.

Cooking

  • Lightly grease air fryer basket or use a parchment paper liner.
  • Place the patties in the basket, ensuring they do not touch.
  • Set timer for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time.
  • Check internal temperature to reach 160°F (71°C).
  • Add a slice of cheddar cheese during the last minute of cooking if desired.
  • Toast burger buns in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes.

Serving

  • Assemble burgers with the bottom bun, burger patty, and your choice of toppings.
  • Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute ground turkey or chicken. For a vegetarian version, use mashed black beans or chickpeas.
