  • 1 large head cauliflower Cut into bite-sized florets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour) For batter
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buffalo sauce For coating
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil For spraying

Optional Dipping Sides

  • 1 cup celery sticks For crunch
  • 1 cup carrot sticks For crunch
  • to taste ranch or blue cheese dressing For dipping

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Wash and cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets, ensuring they are similar in size for even cooking.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, water, garlic powder, paprika, and salt to create a batter. The batter should be thick enough to coat the cauliflower.

Cooking

  • Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, allowing any excess to drip off, then place them in the air fryer basket.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Spray the cauliflower with a light coating of cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil for crisping.
  • Cook the cauliflower for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. The florets should be golden and crispy when done.
  • While the cauliflower cooks, heat the buffalo sauce in a small pan over low heat until warm.
  • Once cooked, transfer the cauliflower to a large mixing bowl and pour the warmed buffalo sauce over it. Toss until each piece is well coated.
  • Return the coated cauliflower to the air fryer basket and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes to crisp up the buffalo coating.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For added crunch, serve with celery and carrot sticks. You can also prepare the cauliflower in advance, but wait to coat it in buffalo sauce until just before cooking for the best texture.
