  • 2 tablespoons olive oil To coat Brussels sprouts.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For flavoring.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder For flavoring.
  • 1 teaspoon salt To taste.
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper To taste.
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes Optional for heat.
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar Optional, for drizzling at the end.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Rinse the Brussels sprouts under cool water. Trim the ends and remove any discolored leaves.
  • Cut the sprouts in half for even cooking.

Seasoning

  • Place the halved Brussels sprouts into a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  • Toss the sprouts until they are evenly coated with the seasoning and oil.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Once preheated, place the seasoned Brussels sprouts in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding.
  • Cook the sprouts for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • If desired, drizzle them with balsamic vinegar in the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.

Serving

  • Carefully remove the sprouts from the air fryer and serve immediately.

Notes

For ideal texture, cut sprouts into similar sizes. Pre-soaking them in cold water for 15 minutes can enhance sweetness and reduce bitterness. Feel free to experiment with spices and toppings like Parmesan cheese or nuts.
