Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil optional
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Optional Toppings

  • 1 tablespoon butter for serving
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon for serving
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar for serving
  • 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt for serving
  • 1 tablespoon chives for serving

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Wash and scrub the sweet potatoes thoroughly under running water. Pat them dry.
  • Poke several holes in each sweet potato with a fork to allow steam to escape.
  • If using olive oil, rub it over the sweet potatoes and sprinkle salt evenly.

Cooking

  • Place the sweet potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Check for doneness by inserting a fork or knife into the largest sweet potato.

Serving

  • Let the sweet potatoes cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, select sweet potatoes of uniform size and poke holes to prevent bursting. You can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days.
