  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar or sweetener of choice Adjust to taste for sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg (optional) Use for extra warmth in flavor.
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Prevents browning of apples.

Optional Toppings

  • chopped nuts Almonds or walnuts add a crunchy texture.
  • granola Can be sprinkled on top for added crunch.
  • whipped cream For a rich dessert option.

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • Wash and dry the apples thoroughly.
  • Core each apple and slice them into wedges or rings.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt, stirring until mixed well.
  • Add the apple slices to the bowl, drizzle with lemon juice, and toss together until the apples are evenly coated.

Cooking

  • Arrange the apple slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overlap.
  • Fry the apples for about 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • Remove from the air fryer once they are tender and caramelized.
  • Let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes
