Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 8 ounces Ditalini pasta
  • 1 cup Frozen peas Fresh can also be used
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan cheese Freshly grated is recommended
  • 2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions
 

Cooking Pasta

  • Bring a pot of water to a rolling boil and add a pinch of salt.
  • Cook the ditalini pasta according to the package instructions until al dente.
  • Drain the pasta, reserving a little pasta water.

Preparing Peas and Garlic

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, being careful not to burn it.
  • Add frozen peas (no need to thaw) and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until warmed through.

Combining Ingredients

  • Add the drained ditalini to the skillet and toss gently with peas and garlic.
  • Sprinkle in grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper to taste.
  • If needed, add a splash of reserved pasta water to moisten the dish.
  • Toss everything thoroughly until the ditalini is evenly coated.

Notes
