Easy and delicious bagels made from just three ingredients, perfect for breakfast or snacks. Air fryer method allows for a golden brown crust while keeping the inside soft and chewy.

  • 1 cup self-rising flour Use self-rising flour for the best texture.
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 each egg (for egg wash, optional) Brush on top for a glossy finish.

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour and Greek yogurt. Stir until the mixture forms a dough.
  • Lightly flour your work surface and knead the dough for a few minutes until it becomes smooth.
  • Divide the dough into four equal pieces. Roll each piece into a rope and shape it into a bagel by pinching the ends together.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • If you wish, brush the tops of the bagels with beaten egg for a glossy finish.
  • Place the bagels in the air fryer basket, making sure to leave enough space between them for air circulation.
  • Cook for about 10-12 minutes until they are golden and cooked through.
  • Remove the bagels from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before enjoying.

Notes

For best results, use self-rising flour. You can also make your own self-rising flour by combining all-purpose flour with baking powder and salt. Consider adding flavorings like garlic powder, onion powder, or herbs for added taste. If using regular flour, make sure to add a leavening agent.
